We are working on some fun surprises for Digital Scrapbooking Day November 1st and one of them involves you!
We would love for everyone to share their favorite shortcut key combinations. To do this, we need the following -
1. Shortcut Key combination
2. Program you use it in
3. what it does
For example here is my favorite -
1. Ctrl or CMD+J
2. Photoshop CS3
3. When a layer is selected and you press these keys, you duplicate the layer.
Another
1. CMD+SHIFT+4
2. Mac OS
3. Allows you to click and drag a screen shot of your computer - wherever you want and saves it to your desktop.
Another
1. CTRL+PRT SCRN (usually on one of the function keys)
2. Windows OS
3. Saves a shot of your screen to the clipboard. You can open up Photoshop do File>New> and then OK - then once the document is open you can press CTRL-V and edit your screenshot from there.
1. Ctrl+Shift+F
2. Heritage Makers Studio 2.0
3. Paste Format (meaning that you can copy an item you like the "color fill" of or the drop shadow of or the border of and then paste those same formats onto another image. Saves so much time.
In Photoshop, [since I use a Mac and I always just hear about keyboard shortcuts for Windows], I don't really use them. I tend to use contextual menus [right click]. In the [Mac] Finder I do use them.
I would love a Mac/PSCS2 shortcut for EDIT>TRANSFORM>SCALE. I use that A LOT!!
Ctrl > Shift > J
PS7 Windows
If you have a layer and it has a couple things on it but you only want one thing from it to have its own layer, select that one thing with your Marquee Tool = V and use this combination!! Instead of just copying the selected area to a new layer and then having to go back to the orginal layer to erase it, it cuts it right out of the orginal layer and puts it on its own!!
