How to find an address for sending private messages

Where do we look to find the address for members of the sites to send a private message to and how do we do it? Thanks!

under a member's profile photo is a send message link. click, write, send Ü

the envelope in the sign in box on the top right, will display a number when you have a message. you will also get an email notification if your settings allow it. if you're not sure, go to settings, email, and see which options are checked.

Isn't this a great PM system...you don't even have to KNOW the address.

Hmmm... i think maybe the message link is only available for "friends". i don't know if that's a site setting or a member setting.

I'm was just trying to contact a member who had asked a question. There was no way on God's earth to get a personal message to her. FINALLY I asked to be her friend (which is fine, but...) and then added my message to that request. There should be another way??? Help, Kayla....when you get back from vacay.
