Does any-one know of a tutorial on how to colour an object in a black & white photo in elements 6?. I can do it in reverse i.e. colour photo change to sepia or black& white, then do the single object.I have tried to put a colour underneath the pic then erased the bit I want to colour & joined the 2 layers so as they move together, but it doesnt look to good.

Thanks for the quick reply Kayla, but the photo I have in mind is black& white to start with, I want to put colour on to dress in it. That tutorial is to turn a colour photo to B&W, then colourize the object. I am going to try with a paint brush, to see if it works, this could prove very interesting for me , as I don't have the steadiest hand in the world>

You could also try changing the blending mode of what you paint. Paint on a new layer and then change the mode to overlay, soft light, etc.

This tutorial might be closer to what you are looking for. Can't wait to see your results! :)

I will put the page up later-on today, it will take sometime as my broadband has been slowed, as I have gone over my limit, well I think my grandaughter and pop songs could also have contributed. As you can see it worked, but now I have to do it a lot cleaner, I will also fiddle about with the various lights etc. I can remember that event and those colours!!!!! in a way maybe its just as well the pics were in black & white. The great thing about scrapping is the memories it envokes.
