I upgraded to Snow Leopard over the weekend and had my very first Mac crash with PSE6. Fortunately this is a known issue and there were already fixes out there for it. If anyone else has the same problem you can get the fix here:

The short version is that I had to run the disk utility and reset the permissions on my hard drive. Been okay since I did that.

What I've heard some people do, is add the new version, but keep the old version installed too. I guess it allows them to keep using the familiar, while still having the new features to play with. I'll probably do that, but not until the Mac version is available on Amazon, where it will be $75.00. I, too, have no problems with version 6 on my Mac. But I do have 4 gigs of RAM, so that must help.

I haven't had a problem with PSE 6 crashing my Mac - and I've done some pretty heft photo stitching projects of late. I like this version a lot and right now have no plans to upgrade...

Anyone thinking of buying the new version of Elements (v.8) that's coming out in October? There's a $20 rebate if you pre-order.

Curious if anyone else has had issues with elements 6 crashing everytime you use it on your mac or is it just me?

Gail - I'm so glad you checked out Simply Yin. She is amazing. I love to use lots of photos on my layouts, so I think that's why her layouts and templates are so appealing to me.

Wow! I just checked out the Simply Yin blog.... this is so much fun! My daughter is sitting here beside me and she is finding templates she'd like me to use for her horseback riding layouts.

I think I will be changing my preferred layouts to 12x12 - I can't resist these.
