The Faces Behind Digiscrap101

Kayla Lamoreaux is the Digital Evangelist who founded Digiscrap101. She is passionate about sharing the how-to's of digital scrapbooking with others and founded Digiscrap101 to do just that.

Kayla started scrapbooking digitally in 2002. Her work has been featured in CK Media's Digital Scrapbooking Magazine, Creating Keepsakes Magazine, and here on Digiscrap101. Kayla is also the Digital Assistant for Stacy Julian's class, Library of Memories at Big Picture Scrapbooking and a former Wacom Penscrapper.

A Few Details...

i was … a top producing mortgage broker before I came home to be a full time mom in 2000.

i am … a mom of five amazing kids and married to my best friend.

i think … that sometimes I think too much - but thinking can be good when you need lots of fresh ideas...

i wish … that I could clone myself so I would really have time to do it all - there are so many things in life that I think would be fun to do!

i save …every memento I can - yet when it comes to household items I am the queen of donating it to the local thrift store...

i always … spend way too much time on my computer (hmm...I wonder why? lol)

i love …people...making a difference in the lives of others...helping others to see their potential...my family... and a nice cup of Starbucks Signature Hazelnut Hot Chocolate - man that stuff is good!!

i scrap digitally, hybrid or traditionally because …there is nothing that says, "I love you and think you are important" more then a scrapbook with treasured memories. I believe that memories recorded are a powerful way to validate lives and leave a legacy of love for future generations...

i was …a former secondary school teacher who said she would NEVER scrapbook!

i am …now a retired school teacher with a new granddaughter whose events and growth MUST be scrapbooked!

i think …I am getting senile....I never remember what I think I should!

i wish …I knew then what I know now. I wish I was more artistic, too.

i save …nothing. I hoard nothing....except freebies!

i always …enjoy learning new things.

i love …my Lord and my family.

i scrap digitally, hybrid or traditionally because …digitally because there's no mess and I love my Mac. I can't draw a straight line, cut a straight line or use glue without getting it all over me!

i was …an insurance rep for 25 years but am now tired & retired.

i am …a mother of 1, wicked stepmom of 3 ;-), wife, grammy, loyal, honest, caring, and my brothers call me the family social planner & secretary since they don't want to do it!!

i think …time is passing me by way too fast.

i wish …I had done some things different in my life, for better physical health, I knew digital better to make layouts faster.

i save …most everything...may need it someday! ...parents lived in the depression and I think is was ingrained in me.

i always …look for the good in people, make phone calls daily to schedule appointments for my husband.

i love …my family, having good friends, rainbows, sunsets, genealogy, my heritage, reading, chocolate, Precious Moments figuerines & my Heavenly Father...oh and scrapbooking!

i scrap digitally, hybrid or traditionally because …I want to keep my memories alive & remember my heritage. I started in 1978 for my daughter doing traditional/hybrid and digital just this year.

i scrap digitally, hybrid or traditionally because …I love the cleanliness of it! I am Monkish about clean hands, so digital it an awesome way for me to get my memories preserved. I do a little hybrid, but the clean hands thing gets in the way of me doing more if it. LOL

i was …A Die hard Traditional scrapper who SWORE she would never go to 'The Dark Side' lol!

i am …A Christian, Wife, Mother, Daughter, Grami and yes a DIGI SCRAPPER!!!

i think …I need a clone to go to work for me!

i wish …I was retired so I could play all day! (or at least that is what retiring is in my rose colored glasses world)

i save …Oh my gosh I save EVERYTHING! Every PSD file, JPG for printing and for the web. (a little OCD I know) I am one of those 'oh I MIGHT need it someday' crazy people.

i always…Enjoy learning new things, how to do things quicker and easier plus I love tutorials with step by step Pictures, makes it sink in to my brain so much faster.

i love …God, my Family, my Friends and where we live

i scrap digitally, hybrid or traditionally because …I love the ease of digi, the portability, the NO CLEAN UP and being able to CTRL Delete is so much easier than getting out the Undo. I do love Hybrid projects,(don't read this Paula lol) I love getting my hands in all the ink and glue! I love being able to use my paper and digi supplies to create things for my home and friends.
