so you want to know how I resolved (and am still) that problem? I started hosting scrapbookers garage sales! I get vendors i.e stores, digi scrapper like use ready to toss the other stuff, consultants for scrap companies, scrappers who want to change out their stuff.... and they buy table space. I alwasy budget that the vendor fees cover the cost of the venue, advertising and all expenses and my booth and tables and then a little extra. Then I advertise the heck out of it in every free or inexpensive way possible. Then when people come, there is a $2 entrance fee. This covers any unforseen expenses and pays me. In the end I usually profit about $450 plus all the stuff I sell so a 3 hour event with proper planning puts about $1200 in my pocket... i have lots to sell... even still! grrrrr
This is how a few of my trad friends became digi Heritage Makers Consultants... they sold their stuff and used that money to get started. I'd love to help you if you want more info on doing these!
