I met Erin Manning at PMA last year - she has an amazing talent for sharing photography and software in a way that makes it so easy to understand. I thought you all would love seeing highlights of her work on DIY - enjoy!

Spoonflower - custom fabric

Has anyone tried spoonflower.com? They print fabric by the yard made from your uploaded digital images. I didn't see anything in their gallery that looked like digital scrapbook material, but seems like it could be a cool option for using our work to make fun tote bags, pillow covers, curtains, you name it. Just curious if anyone had ever heard of them or tried them (story about them on NPR today).

Wordle

Just found a way cool website: http://www.wordle.net/

You submit text and it takes all the words and forms them into a "word cloud." You have to see to understand, but it is really neat! Great inspiration for scrapping words . . .

Time Keeps on Slippin, Slippin, Slippin into the Future

Time management. It is such a critical area for moms, especially today. I want to be there for my kids, for my husband, manage the household, run the errands, volunteer at schools, bake cookies, be a good friend, daughter, sister, etc. But of course, there's that ever elusive "me time" we're all in need of and never seem to get enough of.

First Ever

Just read the writing tips in Jessica Sprague's Stories in Hand Day 4, specifically the one about writing every day. So, since I was an English major and got an MA in professional writing, you'd think I'd be writing lots, but at the moment, it's pretty low on my list of to-do's. Actually, it's not even on the list.

But I'm feeling newly inspired so here goes.

We just finished watching a little film called "Broken Flowers" with Bill Murray. Good, not great, but interesting. Anyway, one of the b… Continue

Once you get it how you want it - then click "save to gallery" and enter information - you could just keep it as is (none and anonymous) - then I just did a screen capture on my mac by pressing CTRL+SHIFT+4.

On the PC -you just hit CTRL+PRT SCREEN and then open a new document and press (paste) CTRL-V in Photoshop or Photoshop Elements. Theoretically I think you could post it elsewhere too.

hth!
