The wacom tools are awesome to work with. I have a larger intuos, that I always use with painter, photoshop & illustrator. When I have to use a mouse now it feels like i am trying to paint with a bar of soap. Mine is not very portable and I would love to have a bamboo fun. Working with the wacom pen is like using a real brush. It is especially useful with any brush style tool and the pen tool. Control and precision are the result of wacom use. YOU WILL LOVE IT!

I found out that you can order just the "extras" that change the bamboo into the craft, by calling wacom customer care 1-800-922-6613. The price is $49.95. It is not available separately online. Getting it all together in the bamboo craft package is a better deal, but for those who have a pen tablet already there is an option.

Hope you had fun at your class. My first advice would be to keep your bamboo hooked up to your computer and keep using it as your input device (especially if it feels "different" to you). I have a friend who has seen what the pen tablet can do, but still keeps it in the box because she isn't used to it. There are some things I use a mouse for now but at one point I tried to use the pen tablet for everything until I was used to looking at the monitor and not the pad. Also go thru any tutorials that came with your wacom software. And of course, go thru any of the digiscrap 101 tutorials, this site is wonderful. I was wondering myself about the digital scrapbooking/craft software I will look, but let me know if you find out anything. Have Fun!

I just read Kayla's Blog about the Scrapbooking package with the Bamboo...I didn't know there was such a package for $129. I paid $99 for mine at the Apple Store. Do you know where I can find any info on purchasing the Digital Scrapbooking info for the Bamboo?
