Digital Scrapbooking 101

If this week is any indicator, it is a clear sign that our industry has some fun things in store this fall. First up -

You can find the Super Colossal Back To School Event Thingie on Renee Pearson's site. There are amazing daily prizes (today it is Corel Painter Effects) a goodie bag for everyone attending (4 FREE digital kits), and so much more! You really should check it out.

If that weren't enough happy news, I learned today that Renee has a book coming out which will be found on another of my favorite new sites, Ella Publishing...

You can find Simple Effects for Digital Photos here on September 22nd. In the mean time I would still pop over just to see the fun Ebooks available right now - everything from tips on taking better photos to quick and creative quizzes to help spark your creative journaling.

I love that there is a new publisher in our industry doing EBooks. It is really going to open the doors for all of us to learn from some amazing artists without spending a fortune. I can't wait to see what comes out in the next few months - seeing Renee's book there gives me hope that we will see even more titles for digital scrapbookers!

Another site that definitely isn't new, but I thought would be a fun resource to share with our new members is this site -

FREE learning on Adobe products - Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop Elements - a really cool place to spend a few hours.

So hopefully this gives you a few fun sites to spend some of your discretionary time this week.

Know of any more good things happening around the web? Please share them in the comments!

Hope you all have a fabulous week!

PS- One more thing to add for those of you using Photoshop Elements that want Photoshop -

You can upgrade to Photoshop from PSE here.

I would go with Carbonite, Shutterfly or Mozy - leaning more toward Carbonite and Mozy because you pay them for storage and that is their highest priority whereas Shutterfly stores your photos yes but their first interest is printing! :) Just my two cents!

Oh I think I will be spending HOURS on that Adobe site! lol Do you store you photos on Adobe.com? I keep teetering back and forth between Flickr and Smugmug. I really want a secure online storage but don't want to start and realize I have chosen the wrong on! YIKES Any input??
